Henna / mehndi art at alchemy

Henna is a plant that has been used for medicine, magic, perfumery, textile design and to mark events with art on the body. We use henna to create beautiful temporary art for any occasion.

While most folks are familiar with henna (mehndi)i for weddings and for celebrations around EID. We offer henna for all occasions in our cozy studio in Downtown Ferndale, and we travel for private events.

OUR MOROCCAN ROOTS RUN DEEP

So many beautiful aromatic and cosmetic ingredients are grown in Morocco. I’ve just returned from a two week trip that included a visit to Kelaat M’Gouna for the rose harvest.

The rose absolute we use in the Patchouli Rose Body Oil (and lotion) comes from Morocco. As does the Argan Oil and Prickly Pear Seed Oil that I use in the Prickly Pear Serum.

Our Moroccan Savon Beldi (soap) is made in the traditional way with olives and olive oil.

Evidently, Alchemy was ahead of the times, because the beauty industries biggest trend this past year is “holistic facials’. For 15 years our facialist has specialized in hands-only facials with excellent results.

Focusing on the underlying causes of skin disruptions (like hormones and tension), we use techniques like massage, cranial sacral therapy and lymphatic drainage to address your concerns.
