“Patch Test” is standard practice for any cosmetic or fragrance.

You should discontinue use if irritation occurs.

Our formulator is a licensed esthetician in the state of Michigan.

PAYMENT

All payments are due at the time of check out. Sales on this website require credit card. If sales requests are made via Instagram or email, Venmo, CashApp or Invoice may be arranged and are due before items ship. Thank you for shopping with Alchemy, I appreciate your business.

PACKING + HANDLING

  • Items will typically be shipped within 3-5 business days from when they are ordered.

  • We will happily enclose a note if you leave a message when checking out.

  • Only domestic shipping is possible at this time.

  • Every effort is made to be timely, please note that Alchemy is a one-person operation

  • Products are fresh and packed to order.

SHIPPING (USPS)

For questions regarding orders that have already shipped, please reference your tracking number. Once an order leaves Alchemy, it enters the domain of the courier (generally the US Postal Service), and the order is no longer in our care or control.

For lost or damaged packages, please email alchemy.slowlivng@gmail.com I like to be kept in the loop, but ultimately delivery and damage issues must be resolved with USPS.

Orders are shipped to the address provided. Orders shipped to incorrect addresses will not be reshipped or refunded. If you suspect you input the address incorrecly, please get in touch ASAP.

Accidentally selected porch pick up? It happens. Alchemy does not offer free shipping. If the address presented at check out isn’t local, I will reach out via text. Minimum charge for shipping is $5 and you can Venmo (@alchemyhenna) or CashApp ($alchemyhenna) the shipping charges before the item(s) ship.

REFUNDS + EXCHANGES

Due to the nature of our products, returns will not be accepted.

Please read the ingredients carefully! Know your allergies. Standard testing recommendations: Test a small patch of skin with the product and wait 24 hours. If a sensitivity occurs, discontinue use. Please email me with concerns at alchemy.slowliving@gmail.com

  • Alchemy is very open-sourced and will share the origin of any ingredient. In fact, I’ll share anything except the actual formula.

If you find yourself unhappy with a product, please get in touch, I'll do my best to make it right.

“SAMPLES”

Folks, Alchemy is a small business, making all the potions and perfumes by hand, and in small batches… I prefer to put my energy elsewhere. You have an opportunity to request a sample at checkout with your order.

Sample sizes are not available due to a fundamental belief that they burden the waste-system endemic in the commercial cosmetics industry.

FREEBIES FOR INFLUENCE / REVIEWS

Alchemy does not pay for influence in cash money or in the form of freebies. All reviews are folks who are fans.

What does Alchemy do with the data?

The truth is - not much. I refer to the analytics collected by Squarespace, Mail Chimp and Google to tell me a little about who is shopping and where people are accessing this website.

DONATION + SPONSORSHIP REQUESTS

Alchemy Henna is a solo-preneurship, the donations/sponsorship budget is small and selective:

Before you ask for donations or sponsorship from Alchemy Henna, you should consider whether your audience and Alchemy's audience is similar (or has the opportunity for cross-pollination).


For example, is your organization a 501(c) (3) that is for women, by women or affiliated with artistic movements or life-style? We might be a good fit to support your organization via donation, sponsorship, gift cards, or by offering our services for fundraising. 

Alchemy is more likely to say yes to clients because we are already invested in you.  We can sometimes gift our time and talents to help you raise funds in lieu of paid sponsorship or donations. Clients with cool projects (women's rights, urban farmers, animal welfare, shelters, women-lead business, recycling, arts/crafts) should reach out.

Cold call and blind requests from unknown entities will not be considered.
